Zero Bulb Ideas (2): DM toilets

Zero Bulb Ideas is a series featuring whacky ideas of a noodle-headed nincompoop.

The Bamora Municipal has come up with a fantastic plan to detect and control Diabetes Mellitus (DM) among citizens. In all the public toilets, it was decided to install dipsticks to test the sugar level in urine for everyone who use the toilets. When urine is passed, a dipstick immerses itself in the fresh urine and the reading is made instantly by blinking of lights placed in front near the flush. To simplify reading of result, traffic light colors are used: Green light to signify non-diabetic, Yellow for pre-diabetic, and Red for diabetic. Near the exit where hand dryer is kept, information board is hung where dos and don’ts for all the three readings are displayed. The proposal is under review by medical experts. Some people think it is a brilliant idea while some activists argue that those who prefer to urinate on street corners will be missed.
