A ‘must read’ article

Have you watched that ‘Leave Britney alone’ video in youtube where a fan cries hysterically and pleads with people to leave Britney Spears alone? Have you seen the faces of the stunned judges who turned their chairs to see that it was a nun singing? Many of such amusing videos shared online come with the tag ‘Must Watch’. No matter how amusing such videos may be, the problem is that there are far too many of them. You can spend a life time browsing and enjoying such videos in youtube, links through facebook, Whatsapp, etc. 

Life has to go beyond amusement. So, how much of our time is wasted on such stuffs? It is said that the devil works by distraction and diversion. We are bombarded with advertisements and entertainments. And if we are amused, Satan is pleased. He doesn’t want us to have any time lest we start to understand who we really are, see things as they really are, and start to change the world.

When a television program has too many commercial breaks, we grumble. It is time to grumble that the devil is throwing too much advertisement in life which are diverting and distracting us from what is real. We can start to change by asking a question like, ‘What do I do with the remaining years of my life?’
